BCECE is Bihar's entrance test for first-year professional undergraduate courses such as Pharmacy, Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy, paramedical, B.Sc. Nursing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry and Fisheries in state institutions; it also fills B.Tech seats left vacant after JEE (Main)-based counselling. DCECE is the board's separate test for polytechnic diploma (PE) and paramedical (PM/PMM) admissions.

Qualification: BCECE: I.Sc./10+2 (or I.Sc. Agriculture) or equivalent with the subjects of your group (PCM, PCB or PCMB), passed or appearing in the current session; course-wise requirements are in the prospectus. Fee: BCECE, one subject group (PCM or PCB): General/EWS/BC/EBC ₹1000, SC/ST/Divyang (DQ) ₹500. All four subjects (PCMB): ₹1100 and ₹550. Paid online; not refundable. PDF p.6

BCECEB BCECE / Bihar DCECE Syllabus 2026 and Exam Pattern

BCECE written test: Each subject is a separate 1½-hour paper of 100 objective questions, 4 marks each (400 marks); 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. Questions are in English and Hindi, at Intermediate level; you answer the papers of your group (PCM, PCB or PCMB). PDF p.6
